Tournament rules

  • Numbered team uniforms are to be worn during all official games
  • Uniforms must consist of socks, shorts, individually numbered tops and shin guards
  • No watches, necklaces, bracelets, head pieces, ear rings or rings can be worn
  • Maximum of 15 players per team are allowed to play
  • Each team must supply a goalie shirt numbered 1
  • All teams to supply Overseas Student Health Care and Acceptance form (doc 139 kb) to Monash Representative on the day
  • All players must have current OSHC
  • Should a player not have their current OSHC. They can not play
  • Games are 17.30min halves with 5 min half time break
  • Break between games is approximately 10mins
  • Subs are unlimited but must be made through the marked area
  • Should a player receive a red card, they can not play the next game regardless of it being a final
  • Should a player receive 2 consecutive yellow cards, they will miss the next game. Yellow cards will carry over to the next available game
  • Bad behaviour, sportsmanship, fighting, discriminatory comments, disagreeing with the referee or University representatives will not be tolerated. Any violation of this rule will result in immediate expulsion from any remaining games. This rule applies to all staff, players and supporters. Expulsion will include removal from University grounds.
  • Under no circumstances can players change numbers or jerseys during the game. A full set of numbers must be used by providers. The number 1 jersey will be reserved for the goal keeper
  • Calculating WIN/LOSS and Rankings
    • Win = 3 points
    • Loss = 0 points
    • Tie = 1 point to each team
    • Top 2 teams based on points from each group advance to the Semi Finals
    • Winners of the Semi final will play in the Championship Game
    • If teams are tied on points, Goals For and than Goals Against will determine who is the highest team
    • If teams still remain tied on points, the highest number of corners will determine who is the highest team
    • If teams still remain tied, the team to advance will be the team that won when the remaining teams played during the round robin
