If you answer "yes" to any of the above questions, then Chong Hua Cultural Club is just the club for you to join. Chong Hua was founded back in 1972 with the aim of promoting Chinese culture to the Monash population and beyond. Numerous cultural experiences await our members throughout the year ... taste some real HOMEMADE oriental food; take a peek at your Chinese horoscope; join in the fun of Chinese calligraphy (i.e. splashing about black ink); and many, many more. And if these are not enough to satisfy your "cultural appetite", then listen up ... 1997 is Chong Hua's 25th anniversary!!!!!! Needless to say, the 25th anniversary celebration will be phenomenal! You will just have to join and see it for yourself!

Chong Hua Cultural Club is not just a cultural club though. It also caters for the socialites, party animals, singers, sportspeople, chess players and others. There will be free lunches, trips (where party animals get to show off their all-night-nonstopping-clubbing skills), a karaoke night, sporting competitions, chess competitions and the awe-inspiring anniversary dinner and dance (warning: this event will be early in the year, so go get your dresses gals!!!). Lots of friends can be made at these events ... perhaps even a bit of romance (ahemm ... don't count on this!). These social events are especially beneficial for first year students who often feel isolated from the Monash University social scene and help them to adjust to the university environment. Chong Hua events are designed with first year students in mind ... we are not here to intimidate!
