How to contact the security group
The security group attempts to ensure that all users of GAUNIX facilities have the best possible share of available resources.
To achieve this, the security group takes measures to:
- Inform Yoyo users of which activities are permitted, and which are not.
- Instil in Yoyo users a sense of what is appropriate behaviour on the internet.
Further, the security group takes steps to detect, prevent, and discourage unauthorised or inappropriate use of GAUNIX facilities. These steps include:
- Regularly monitoring system usage.
- Responding to matters raised by members of the internet community.
Members of the security group maintain a professional attitude in their interactions with Yoyo users and other members of the internet community. This includes keeping confidential any information which they have access to as a result of their membership of the security group.
Please help us to respond promptly to your queries by sending email to the appropriate address.
Send email to just one person in the security group, if:
- you have been asked to contact that person directly.
- your Yoyo account has been suspended by that person.
Please email ONLY the person who suspended your account.
Their email address is at the top of the suspension notice, seen when you attempt to log in.
Send email to everyone in the security group, if:
- you have been asked to send mail to the whole security group.
- you need to ask for general information, (after you've read the FAQ).
- you want help with a security problem.
Send email to the security group leader, if:
- you have been asked to email securityleader directly.
- you have already emailed someone as above, but didn't get an answer.
- there is an issue that you don't want the whole security group to know about.
- you are dissatisfied with a decision made by a member of the security group.
